Project Management Fundamentals
By completing the course you will gain the essential underpinning knowledge of project management, from concept to transition. Our 2 Day Virtual Live Online Classroom course offers the flexibility and convenience to study from the comfort of your own home. These sessions are live, interactive, with a range of activities, discussions and real-life examples. An immersive, interactive learning experience with an experienced tutor where you will learn the APM® Project Fundamentals Qualification criteria prior to taking your exam. The course includes access to the e-learning portal to be completed prior to the 2 days virtual learning sessions. Exam vouchers are provided to redeem at a time to suit within 12 months of purchase. Exam is taken online using the remote invigilator process.

Who is the APM® Project Fundamentals Qualification (PFQ) for?
This qualification is aimed at project managers and aspiring project managers. It is also relevant to other key staff involved in the design, development, and delivery of projects, including:
Project Board members (e.g. Senior Responsible Owners), Team Managers (e.g. Product Delivery Managers), Project Assurance (e.g. Business Change Analysts), Project Support (e.g. Project and Programme Office personnel) and operational line managers/staff.
Prerequisites
There are no formal prerequisites for undertaking this course. All potential candidates will be required to complete a self-assessment prior to undertaking the course. This will ensure that this determines the course is right for you. This is the APM competence framework and outlines the competencies for effective project management.

This is ideal for anyone who is starting out in their project management career.
How long does it take to complete APM® Project Fundamentals Qualification (PFQ)?

The Self-Study course covers the full content of the course in a digital format. There are also directed development resources to support you to be able to apply this in practice within the role. This will take approx. 35-40 hours to complete independently.
What is the pass mark for APM® Project Fundamentals Qualification (PFQ)?
The exam is multiple choice and closed book. There are 60 questions, each worth one mark. The pass mark is 60%, which means you need to achieve a total of 36 marks or more to pass.
