JTEC Training are data controllers (who are responsible under GDPR for determining how personal data is processed) and data processors (who process data on behalf of a data controller). What personal data we collect and why we collect it
JTEC Training work with partners who provide examination and certification services. We will collect your personal data (including name, address, email address, phone number, photo ID, previous qualifications, learning difficulties and disabilities) to confirm your identify, deliver qualifications, provide additional support where required and ensure the validity of the examination process. We may use this data for internal research and quality assurance purposes to ensure integrity of the courses we deliver. We are an approved partner with Peoplecert, ILX and JCP, along with a range of Colleges and other approved Training providers. We ensure that we meet their partner and test centre requirements for processing your data. We will share your data with third parties and they will share with us in the following circumstances:-

Online proctoring via Peoplecert
- Peoplecert offers examinations through the online proctoring services, for Users who wish to take an online exam at a preferred time and location (i.e. almost anywhere they have internet access) The service records the exam session (video, sound and User’s computer desktop), ensuring its security and integrity. Recordings are retained by Peoplecert for 1 year to provide a record of examination integrity.
Online accounts with Peoplecert
- Peoplecert require all candidates must have an online account with Peoplecert, which is created and accessible via the Peoplecert website. Your account contains some or all of your personal data that we hold about you, and makes it easier for you to use their services. You may request deletion of your Account at any time by emailing dataprotection@peoplecert.org although this may reduce our ability to provide services.
Online training portal with ILX
- For candidates who are provided with access to the online course portal will have their data used in the form for name and email address for the account to be set up. Access will be provided for 12 months from the date of issue.
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site or Facebook group page we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Media
